Molly & Judson Valdez

'As if i became it’ is a processed still from a video recording taken at the Bronx Botanical Garden, using an old digital camera with a blurry quality to the lo-fi footage. The compressed grain and details of the image in-motion are an extension of that day’s recording, as if the light could be felt and pulled. 

The Valdez consists of creative partners and spouses, Molly and Judson Valdez, video artists living in Brooklyn, New York. With a focus in creating time based work, they create experimental video and photo art, bridging multimedia footage, alternative ways of recording and performance. Often centered around the strange inconsistencies between analog techniques and digital footage, their work emphasizes details of motion through looping and unorthodox editing.
